Shao-Lin Kung Fu is not meant to be learned in a short time period. If you want to learn something quick and then say you're a master after only a year or something, then I don't think this school is for you. Instead, this school is more traditional. You learn forms slowly in class and you're expected to practice over and over on your own time (hundreds to thousands of times). Eventually through hard work, you become good at these forms (I stress it takes time and patience). In the process you will be able to apply these techniques through sparring practice.

For the other reviewers who mention not enough attention is paid to them, I think that's unfair. It's like in college, do you expect the instructor to hand hold you through every step? No, instead there are plenty of senior level students who are out their ready and willing to provide assistance. After class, almost every senior student who I've spoken to has taken their time to answer any of my questions with regards to forms. It's called asking questions. All of them have been friendly and helpful.

I think going into this Kung Fu school you should have an attitude that it will take time to learn. And when you learn, it will be little by little.
